Why I Write
Why I write is because my grandmother was a storyteller. I grew up listening to the most amazing stories. I’ll give you an example. My grandparents were driving back from
a fishing trip at Bing, Oklahoma. It’s dusk. In the distance they saw three Indians wrapped in blankets walking down the road. They thought to give them a ride. As their car got closer, the three Indians disappeared, right before their eyes. No one said a word and they continued home. They said in those days this kind of thing happened all the time.
